Car seats seem slippery ?

Recently bought a 09 bmw 335i sedan with 33k miles.
sport/prem pkg.

Whenever I get in the car, I can't seem to ever get in a comfortable position...never had this problem with my old 135i

It seems as tho I'm always "sliding" around in the seat and don't feel like I'm planted in the seat..makes it very had to do any spirited driving.

I'm about 5'5" ...so I keep the seat height pretty high...but i had it the same way in my 135i and never had this "slipping" problem.

are my leather seats just really dirty or something?

Sounds like the leather is dirty or has some sort of leather conditioner on it. I would give them a clean with some APC (All Purpose Cleaner) and agitate with a nail brush. I then use Gtechniq L1 to protect

Yeah it's probably dirty and/or coated in armor all. Clean it good with an all purpose cleaner as mentioned and then a quality leather product of your choice that won't leave it greasy. I prefer optimum leather protectant, it leaves the seats with a matte look, they feel amazing, and aren't slippery at all.

I ended up having the dealer detail the car for free as part of the deal when i bought the car.

Im not sure exactly how they cleaned the seats, but they feel much better and have a matte feel now.

Thx

hate all those greasy oily leather "cleaners". i wipe my seats down once a month with a microfiber and chemical guys "sprayable leather" cleaner and conditioner, gives it that nice matte soft finish
