Playing music via HD

If car (2010) has Pro Nav, does this mean it has a USB slot for music?
Ie, can I put a pen drive in with music on it and listen via stereo?

If so, is the playlist displayed?

Is the album art only on newer cars or only displayed via a USB stick? I've plugged my ipod into my 2010 E90 using a Y cable and I don't get the pretty pictures!

Unless you have 6FL then you need to copy the music and art to the HDD to get the art - you can only get it directly from an iPod / iPhone by 6FL (USB armrest).

^Yes.

To those with CiC nav but not album art: You need combox as well. Look into "combox retrofit".

Use the USB in the glovebox and select Import from the iDrive menu. How they display depends on how you group them within a folder structure on the USB but essentially yes they do.
