What suspension lad?

Hi guy's...

I'm lookin to lower my e90 320d sport, thinking of coilovers?
But don't wanna be hoppin galong like a forklift either ya know!

Is it possible to get a kind one that isn't so aggressive?
Pls bare in mind, it's only a little 163bhp car, which will
never be on a track an will be on "very" little back roads!

I'm only looking for a middle of the road set up,something
cheap an simple to lower her down on my new 19's i have ordered,
but I dont want a budget system either like FK's cheap crap!
What's the cheapest of the decent make's like something German of e.g???

Thank's for reading lad's!

Paulo...

I'm after been given a quote of €650 for a set of AP Coilover's fitted.
Anyone know if there any good? The guy in Dublin said there a good
German make,an that they were the cheapest of the good make's!

He also said if your just using them for the street you'll be fine,
but he didn't know how hard they were!
Is there an ajustment on the dampner's?

Hello Paulo - I wanted to improve the ride on my 325dSE Touring - Bilstein B6 dampers all round with Eibach Pro Kit pr0gressive springs. Front of the car sits 30mm lower - rear isn't much different - ride is still comfortable - smal lbumps are absorbed due to progressive springs - tightens up the faster you go - ditch the runflats too - fit it yourself - big trolley jack - axle stands spring compressors - me an a mate did mine in four hours - book it in for a four wheel laser alignment straight after (there are links on this site if you want to fit it yourself. Mine is fantastic now - Bilsteinand Eibach will be offering a full kit comprising this combiniation shortly. one thing I might still do is change the anit rollbars back and front for Eibach as well. Coil overs are infinitely adjustable from a preload/compression/damping and ride height perspective - there is enough scope there to comprehensively f__k up the way your car rides and handles unless you are a suspension guru with a test track and telemetry equipement - I am not and bought something that was plug and play and proven for my car. Hope this helps mate.

Have you not heard of Hartge suspension?

Probably. Out of interest what does the Hartge set up ride like - also what was the drop. I wanted a ride that was still comfortable without dropping the car too much. Its a difficult question to answer as I reckong each set up is different dependant upon the model variant you have.
