I need your advice.
Hey guys i need your advice. I just bought some VMR VB3s off a guy here at the forum and they are not at all what he advertised, he said that the tires were continentals with 70% tred but each rim has a different tire on it and Im pretty sure they are unsafe to drive on (no tread and bulges everywhere) I've already started a claim through paypal and tired to contact the guy but I never get anything back... What your you guys do? (oh and he has deleted the original add also) Any suggestions? All i want are a good pair of rims and tires for a reasonable price..

Sorry to hear about that Sam. Paypal is usually pretty good about protecting buyers (more so than sellers). Just show them your corrrespondence and hopefully they'll resolve it in no time.

That definitely sucks. Keep trying to reach him. I used to be part of NASIOC which is the subaru forum and when a seller did something like this you could report it the modorators and if you have ample evidence they would try to contact the seller, if he didnt reply they would ban him and label him as a thief! One incident a buyer went so far to research what regional section he frequented, contacted other members in the area, got his name and info and reported him to the police in his city. He later got arrested for internet crimes. That was pretty extreme but if you are persistant enough you can get retribution. Good luck man.

nope, what paypal told me last time. "in their policy", they only cover the item that does not delivered. but, they don't responsible if the item doesn't match up with the description.. that's why I've never use paypal again.

"PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy offers protection for purchases on or off eBay that are not eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.
You can file disputes for Items Not Received (INR), or for items that are Significantly Not as Described (SNAD). However, recovery of any amounts is not guaranteed and is limited to the amounts that PayPal can recover from the seller’s account, even if PayPal makes a final decision in your favor." |

Wow, that's just terrible. But yes, I agree, never use PayPal. Buyer or seller, period.
