My Car won't start. 2006 BMW 325i

im having problem with my car. i was wondering if someone might know what the problem is.

yesterday, i noticed a slow start when i started my car

and now today, i was at work, and i had the problem again, its just this time, it just kept getting worse

i turned off the car, then immediately tried starting it again.
nothing

i just hear a click

headlights turn on. radio is on. power is on

but no start

i tried jump starting it from under the hood, no start

just a click everytime i push the button

The battery is dead. It is shorted so it won't pass current from the jumping battery. Get a new battery. Is the car still under warranty? If it is, call roadside assistance. Have it towed to a dealer and have a new battery installed under warranty. If you don't have the extended warranty, all 2006 E90s still have a full 4 years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage.

Wow, I figured at least twice that. Unusual for a starter to go that early. How much was the part cost for the starter?

Out of curiosity, when you tried starting it with jumper cables, did the other car have it's engine running at the time? I had to jump start my 330xi once and it wasn't enough to get it going until I started the engine of the donor car. In addition, it wasn't enough either when I tried using my fully charged 500A booster pack which is specifically designed for this kind of thing.

Edit: When I say that "it's not enough", I mean that my BMW wouldn't even attempt to crank, it would just click once then stop.

man I tried starting my car this morning in -33 C weather, and it didnt start.
I'm hoping its the cold, but the exact same thing happened.
All the lights are on, and the radio was playing, but no tick, no nothing, just didnt start.

I cant afford to lose my car right now

nah. we had -40F windchills here a few weeks back. My car didn't start in the morning either. Had to let it sit in the sun till midday. Irritating. Our cars come with a 720CCA battery. Guess they could use a bit more.

Thumbs up Possible Solution

Hi there I went to work today and the car was working just fine, the only problem is that my AC was not working as good as it usually works.

When I came back from my break I tried to start the car but nothing happened, the radio was On, the lights were working everything seems to be working fine. But when I called the dealer they said that the car should hold some charge for those stuff to work, I went to Target get some cables and I was able to start the car again.

Don't panic I was about to call the tow company and take the car to the dealer but instead I asked my dad to jumpstart the car and it work for me.

(If you are gonna Jumpstart de car use the Front and do not try to charge the battery directly cuz if the battery is bad the car won't start).
