Squeaking rubber type grinding at full lock??
As the title says, when I'm going slow and at full lock for say parking or a sharp turn I get a kind of rubber squeaking grinding sound that seems to come from the front wheels area. I'm not the most mechanically minded so does anyone have any idea what it could be? Maybe power steering pump?
I know that you're not supposed to put the wheels into full lock but sometimes needs must. It's just that I'm currently deciding whether to get a BMW Insured Warranty for the first year I own my car (had it about a month) and if this is something that needs repairing that a warranty would cover it may sway me, especially as I have a service due in January. Thanks in advance. |

Yeah that came up on a google search. I'll just get it looked at come service time. Now just need to decide whether to splash out on the BMW Warranty, although it is cheaper than I thought it would be!!!

96500 miles, two previous owners, full BMWSH. I was initially put off by the miles but it was very clean and in great condition, obviously well looked after.

Mate mileage is not a problem with that car. Reason why I asked was because. To me as a buyer FBMWSH on a car with such miles and age. Is not a deal maker or breaker.
I would be more swayed by condition of the car. Obviously Im not swaying you off the BMWsh but bare in mind there also some cars out there with fullbm history and they are dogs. So go for it if you want to. Or get it serviced by a decent indy and put some of the money into mods or spend it on the wife and kids. P.s I owened an E90 330i M sport for 4 years up till a few months ago. Cracking car. |
