CHF-11S or ATF Dexron?

I tried searching for this but couldn't find any threads that helped.

So i've been trying to figure out what fluid my power steering needs, my car manual didn't specify what fluid unless i'm missing a manual and i'm confused since the sticker on the reservoir is half peeled.

So whichone do I use on my car?

Thumbs up Power steering fluid >Pentosin CHF11S or CHF202

Below is a little info about which power steering fluid to choose, hopefully this helps.

CHF 7.1, CHF11S, and CHF202 are are high performance hydraulic fluids formulated for central hydraulic systems such as power steering, rear axle steering, level control, hydro-pneumatic suspension, and shock absorbers.

Pentosin CHF 7.1 should NOT be mixed with CHF 11S,CHF202, or any other hydraulic fluids.
***However, CHF11S or CHF202 can be substituted for CHF7.1 as an "upgrade" if the system is flushed and refilled.

**Pentosin CHF11S is compatible with Pentosin CHF202, but do NOT mix with Pentosin CHF7.1 or any other hydraulic oils.

I found the best price at the time at this link for the CHF202

Thanks for the info but I already have the fluids but still trying to figure out whichone to use in my power steering reservoir since i'll be flushing out my power steering, if you look closely the sticker is half peeled and says CHF-11S but on the bottom it says ATF Only.

So which one of these two do I use?

Use the CHF-11S. The markings on the cap have you confused. The sticker is meant to cover the cap markings. BMW has been using that powersteering oil reservoir since the mid-80s so they've just put a sticker over the cap. The cap (without the sticker) is used on other BMW models that use Dexron for the power steering. All E90s with the N52 use CHF-11S.

When you say all E90's does that include my E92? I also have one more question, what is that little tube thing that sticking out from the picture? I never figured out where that went.

That is your pre wire for the alarm.

if you get the alarm kit, that plugs into a hood sensor that you install in that area.

My N54 does not have a sticker on the reservoir, so I use ATF. But now I'm wondering if it just fell off (I'm not the orig owner).

That's not good, i'm amazed your power steering didn't give out due to wrong fluid unless it is the right fluid. But does your reservoir look exactly like mines, just without the sticker?

Yes, exactly but without the sticker. But I thought I read a thread on here that had several people stating that some n54's used ATF, some Pentosin.

I have a N52 so I wouldn't know anything about that, maybe some members who own a N54 can clarify this for you.

The tube thing sticking out in the picture (with the black plastic cap on it) is the air conditioning schrader valve for adding freon to the AC system.

How much steering fluid did you use to flush? Did you use the suck out of reservoir refill method?

I don't have ZCW Package on my car, I still used pentosin cuz it was recommended by my local dealership.

You should use Pentosin CHF11S from Advance Auto Parts or other stores.

Bmw 320d e92 2010

Hi guys, I have a bmw 320d e92 2010. My steering wheel feels heavy so I'm. Planning to flush the whole thing but since it's my first car I have no knowledge of what oil it uses, I was hoping you guys could guide me. Ive already educated myself on how to flush the power steering though.
