Is it possible for a AT 335i to rev pass the 7k rpm limit?

Just wondering is it possible for a AT car to go pass the 7k rpm maximum?

Im pretty sure that the tranny wont allow paddle-shifter downshifts that will put it outside the red-line. Although, i wouldnt go and test that, if possible OP, do you think you over-revved the engine?

EDIT: Are you concerned about over-revving or are you looking for an increased redline?

I hit 7.2 from a manual down shift to first while roasting the tires and second gear went to 7.2 as well. Happened so fast my manual shift was to late. COBB pro tuned.

I believe COBB raises the rev. limiter to 7.2 for manual trans. I am not sure if that's the same for AT. it may be though.

But either way, my dyno charts as well as others, clearly shows the loss of power after 5.5k - 6k. I shift around 6k anyway.

Same here, around 6000 which means i actually shift around 6250 due to my reaction times.
