Ok Chris at Cm wheels has sorted some alloys and they are on there way to me. As I'm on holiday in the Dumfries area can any of you local boys or girls recommend a tyre fitters where I can have the tyres changed over?

Where exactly in the dumfries area?

Dumfries - Denton tyres
Carlisle - Gates tyres
Annan / lockerbie - Express tyres

A few places may be a bit hesitant as you have'nt bought the tyres from them so expect this

Also if you have Run Flat tyres you will not be able to re-use these as run flats are designed to be used with alloys that can accomodate run-flat tyres only.

As your new wheels are from CM i would take a good guess they can only be used with non run flat tyres

I wasn't expecting that! My Michelin run flats have 6-7mm of tread. I can not put the run flats on my new replica wheels?

No

Run flats need special wheels that have an extra lip on the barrel.

I would sell the existing wheels and tyres or tyres only and purchase a new set.

Also i wouldnt fancy putting runflats on aftermarket wheels. Runflats have extremely hard sidewalls and can crack even oem alloy wheels not mind aftermarket ones

The wheels I got from Chris at CM Wheels are compatible with run flat tyres according to the Denton tyre fitters. My Michelin run flats aren't as rigid as other makes so hopefully should be fine, fingers crossed. They are now all fitted and look great!
