You can't code on an iPad. As of today It's pretty much impossible until it gets jailbroken and some miracle happens.

Any laptop with a usb port that is 32 bits will do fine. If you have a laptop that is 64bits NCS expert is not very compatible with it.

Your best bet is any netbook.

Noncom,
Basically any windows based computer that you can get inside your car. It doesn't need to be expensive or multi core ect. Thus, a netbook will work great or a laptop if you already have one. Check craigslist for cheap netbooks. They are everywhere. The only major requirement is a working USB port on the netbook or laptop. Let me know if you have any other questions. Its a learning experience for me also :-)

Thx to all! I am so new to this. Ok, 32bit. Still shopping and will get back to you all. Just want a little higher resolution and ram. Too bad about the iPad situation. It would be perfect for this!
