I hope so! Just wish I could find a way to send mine in. I'm having the same issue. I'm running stg3 maps with 0%IGN and 40% boost, yet my fuel trims flatline at 34% still. Mods are in my sig, no meth though.

I am sending mine in within a month or so. Waiting for weather to get colder so I won't get much use out of car. Just wish there was a way I could revert back to stock like a Cobb handheld. Shiv. Is that possible?

Shiv said we had to send em in 'for now' when he announced it. Not sure if that was a hint at a half-baked idea or if he'll be throwing programming rigs to a shop on the east coast as well
For those running off the shelf maps; under the 'stock' 40% boost level you should have absolutely no fueling problems, especially not at OL100. If you are something is mechanically wrong with your car.

Can someone explain to me how DCIs can fix fuel trims?

The software and cables are used by several BMW tuners (and others, I'm assuming), since the software looks the same just with a different company's logo on the side.

I really didn't expect to see it fix anything. It undoubtedly did. No idea why.

I've thought about this myself, and have brought the issue up with some fellow gear heads, and we can't make sense of it either.
I do not understand how, that if we're running too lean (13:1 or worse) which I was on the factory airbox with a drop in filter, how switching to a DCI fixes this. If a DCI supposedly flows better up top, wouldn't that just make the lean issue worse? I flashed back to stage 1, even though I should be able to run stage 3 with my mods (plus I run 100% methanol) and today did a nice long pull and no CEL. got near the top of 4th with no drama. Previously I had issues where I was running excessively lean, and would always misfire, even with OL @ 100%, and running meth at 60-80%. Oh well, DCI's are on order. |
