Questions about doing a custom straight pipe

Just a few quick questions for you guys

I got an 09 328i xDrive, 6MT

Anyways, I'm tired of how quiet this car is. So I'm thinking of some exhaust options. I am really leaning towards a custom straight pipe, just because I feel the inline 6 would sound pretty well with it. I also want a specific look to the exhaust that would result in dual 2.5in tips coming out an an angle leaning to the left a bit.

Has anyone done a setup like this on their E90? What should I expect sound wise? How loud will it be? SES? Just wanting to know what I am getting myself into before pulling the trigger. Tried doing some searches, but was not getting much. Appreciate the response, good or bad. I feel like I'm going to flamed a bit for this one.

There are tons of ways to get more sound.. The easyets way is just to cut of the back muffler and adding a stright pipe.. U will save 16kg and get more sound and it will drone some inside the cabin. Or just cut out the secondary cats and resonator and keep the back muffler is one way. Geting a universal aftermarket muffler and replacing the rear muffler will get you comfort and som sound. But a totaly straight pipe would ruin your car!! What most ppl are runing are BMW own Perforamce system ( P.E) and its said to be the best mod. you can do soundwise. But I have no experience with it myself..
Regarding the leaning to the left pipes, I have that on my setup with a Dynomax VT muffler and using the OEM pipes, looks realy good IMO!

Ty for this info, definitely helps. I do like the PE exhaust, but I'm not trying to blow a grand on an exhaust. College student budget here

If you are on a budget, get a dynomax race bullet resonator and repalce it with the rear muffler:

Cut your OEM pip in a slight angle and slapp on the bullet and get a Y-pipe 2,5" - 2,25" x2 and mount your OEM pipes on the dual side and you are home free..
