I'm skeptic of technologies that attempt to replace the driver's own sensibilities in any way.. so bear that in mind when reading my following post reply :P

Maybe I don't even know what I'm talking about here but, is it a possibility that say the sensors don't work to the Best possible degree at ANY point in it's lifespan while you're driving? Now with that scenario, let's put the vehicle doing about 60-70 on the interstate. It's EyeSight sensor incorrectly calculates a vehicle ahead changing lanes and thusly calculates a closing speed that warrants braking. You don't see reason to brake, so you don't. However, it brakes anyway (as stated in the video you showed) and unless I misinterpreted something here- that braking is now putting everyone immediately behind you at risk, not to mention anyone in your own car if one of those vehicles behind you are a bit too close or it's kinda rainy or black ice whatever. Ya'll get me right? Sorry for the fearmonger-ish reply. I hope all goes well to be very honest! Just my .02 which is often enough at value of less than .02 ;P

understood but I didn't buy this car to replace driver and I didn't buy this car thinking that it is Tesla but rather to have extra layer of safety, that's all

It's a very good car. The maintenance is far less stressful then our cars, that's for sure.
This summer I'm looking into a Subaru Crosstrek for my girlfriend and I. We love adventures and road trips. But we don't like water pumps and hpfps breaking down on long trips.

I heard EyeSight is a pretty good safety system. Good pick!

European carsí resale values are dismal for a good reason, but reliability does not seem to be BMWís business model.

I think BMW needs to hire more Japanese engineers to up their reliability!

Lot of warning lights on that gauge cluster. Hope they fix them.

Congrats!

They are so vanilla / generic looking both inside and out but Iím sure itís a decent car in general sense. Great for wife but Subaruís bore me, the wrx is decent but big gas hog and so so interior.
I know older Subaruís had way over rated reliability.

that is why I am keeping my 335i for me and Legacy for family hauling, saving my 335i and also saving $$$ on gas and maintenance
