Done!

Installed the unit and it works flawlessly, had to play around with the settings to finally get a correct readout of the rpms and the setting for our car is 006 for the tach signal to read correctly if your using the NX digital window switch. I am not sure what the settings will be on other brands of window switchers... Rpm trigger window set 3000 and deactivation window at 6300.
The rpm window switch is turned on by the master nitrous arming switch located in the center console..

Its showing idle at 700 rpms and accurate. Rev the motor to 4000 rpms and the window display on the module was exactly the same which read 4.0

IMO I have a perfectly safe nitrous setup for a daily driver to spray whenever get I get that urge and not only the 1/4 drag strips like most nitrous setups that are done to the N54 platform. Want to thank FBIS for his DIY thread For Nitrous Express which made the install such a breeze!!

Tested it out this morning and it works awesome! I dont have to worry about nitrous spraying when it changes gears in DS mode anymore since the addition of the rpm window switch! All I did was WOT and held the "go Fast" button after first gear (which I never spray) and as soon as it reached 3000 rpms there was a slight kick (almost like feeling of the kick-down of the transmission but not as fierce) and then as soon as it reached 6300 my led indicator for nitrous spray went off and then around 6500-6600 the car shifted to third automatically and I had to stop the test because I had no room and had to shut it down! I am now running a .15 jet! Freaking car is scary man when the nitrous kicks in especially since it snowed here last week and the roads have some salt residue left over THe car felt squiggly in the rear but stabilized...What a rush man

Oh you are making me sick with impatience.
I was still crossing my fingers for a deal on a bottle heater...oh well.
And I am waiting on a fitting. Can you send me or post me a link for the DIY thread you mentioned?
I think I'm going to be installing my setup next week.

Read it through and install the kit a little bit at a time. FormerBoostedIS is no joke when he gives a writeup on a product and his DIY guides....The system Doesnt need to be completed in a day!! My install took over 2 weeks!

I am sure your setup will be different as mine is pretty much setup different also. I basically used it to setup most of the hardware and used the pictures for reference and get ideas from it.

Yeah it is really a nice power adder for sure as long as you respect nitrous and don't go crazy with it. I spray a very conservative jet and have lowered my boost to 15.5 psi when spraying while injecting 1300~ml/min of meth. What size jet did you go up to? Curious to see how your increase in jets effected your a/f and timing.

I am still running the .31 jet. I am progressive, so it helps a lot with AFR.

Just came back from getting some stuff at Home Depot for the house and took out the nitrous to play alittle...Niiiice! Done for a while as these runcraps tires I have is no use in 39 degree temps I was not comfortable with the loss of traction but it was definitely fun and scary at the same time..Adrenaline filled 5-6 seconds thats for sure Lights flashing(meth flow), red led lighting up (nitrous flow), "go fast button", Rpm window blinking, engine roaring ETC .Its Worth the price of admission to any theme park!
I am done for the winter with NAWS man

Isn't it almost three years since you started the installation of the basic nitrous system

Great to read about your solution and impressions, thanks for sharing.

Reference to heroin.
He kept talking about his addiction to meth and the "kick" he got. Now with nos he has a greater "kick."
Heroine is known to never feel the same as the first time, the people have to keep upping their dosage or "nos" to get the same feel as he clearly demonstrated.
Its a pretty common saying, chasing the dragon lol

I wonder how the N2O small doze compares to 19 PSI, good fuel and meth? Do you have any logged speed-intervals?

No...I still have the road sensor wire, which reminds me that I have to return back to how it was before. The road speed wire was used for ground wire for the supposedly Procede nitrous integration that was supposedly to come out that never did I need to return it back to stock to get my road speed signal so I can log road speed again..As of right now I have no logs of speed intervals, sorry! IMO since you have your nitrous gear still, install it and stop making it take up space in your garage! Just get yourself a WOT/TPS switch and RPM window switch and just do a small shot...You would be surprised at the power it does gain

I'm for sure tempted. The grip is however bad now due to the cold climate so it will not be done until next year. Keep up the good work

Go ahead and install your kit as it will entertain you for the long winter ahead! As for me chasing dragons that is not going to happen as I already sold all my jets that came with the kit (.31, .35, .42, .52, .62). The only one I have left is .20 I might try that last one out next spring but not sure because I am happy with the power so far of the .15! For a small shot you will be amazed how well the N54 takes to little bit of juice!
