Running extremely lean. Procede Logs.
Running a Procede Rev3 with Stg 3 5-23 Aggressive maps.
Car has 40k on it, it's been tuned for only 300 miles, untouched prior to this. It has 3,000 miles left until its factory warranty dictated spark plug change. Car has a 7" ETS FMIC which works very well and catless Raceland DPs, stock airbox. 93 octane ~75degree ambient ~95degree IAT. ------------------------------------------------- Data File 2 / 75 OL Fuel on Stage 3 MT Starts superlean 3292 RPM, A/F 18.8 :O Fluctuates wildly until 5000 RPM @ 14.5 CAN Fuel Trim Bank 1 constant at 34.1 ------------------------------------------------- Data File 4 / 90 OL Fuel on Stage 3 MT Starts at 3358 RPM, A/F 16.9 Stays below 15 from 3520 RPM to 5300 4500 RPM 'spikes' A/F 14.8 CAN Fuel Trim Bank 1 Pretty much constant at 34.1 ------------------------------------------------- Even though the AFRs are cooler at OL set to 100 the CAN Fuel Trim Bank 1 is still pegged to 34.1 through the entire RPM range at WOT, I left the procede boost alone at 40%, the procede targets 15-16PSI with this setting. Being that these maps are 'off the shelf' an OL of 75 is supposed to be 'normal' so this has me a little worried. Attached are a shot of the 4 dyno runs which had some pretty disappointing numbers (~100HP and ~100FTLBs of Torque pickup over stock) annotated shots of the 'bad' dyno datalog and a shot of the OL 90 tweak from the road. Raw datalogs and the 4 dyno runs (WinPEP 7) for those who are interested. Are there parts I should be looking into 'replacing or examining' with results and logs like this? What are the culprits for still not being able to hit fuel targets? TIA

why are you running stock airbox? Stage 3 requires open filter. Also try uploading latest maps , reset all kind of adaptations and ecu reset.

OP- if you run the stock airbox, you will choke top end power. This is why we state that DCIs must be used with Stg3. With stock airbox, I'd stick with Stg1 even if you have catless DPs.
Also, according to your datalogs, all your runs (in log 2) were with OL fuel set to 75%. Except the last run (in log 4) which was set to 80%. I don't see any run where it was set to 90 or 100%. OL fuel requirements will depend a lot on ethanol % in your fuel. The more ethanol, the higher OL fuel need to hit the fuel target. In the summer we are seeing surprisingly high ethanol content in regular gasoline. Another customer from them midwest recently measured their standard 93oct at 23%. I have DCI's I'll install them, reset adaptions and run from 75 -> 100, if problems persist I'll repost.
Thanks all for the input.

Just make sure the changes you make to OL fuel actually take effect. So be careful to make them only when the Procede is online (connected to laptop). Also make sure you adjust the same map you are on. It's easy to tell what the actual OL fuel value is when looking at the logs. All you need to look at is Fuel Correction %. If the value is equal to what you see in the OL fuel table, you have it set to 100%. If half of what you see in the table, it's set to 50%. And so on...

I use to have to set mine to 100% and I'd still get the 34% flatline sometimes. From what I've searched I'm not sure if I've missed a thread on new procede parameters with the flash and recommendations. |

Re-logged with OL 100 in 3rd gear.
Pic attached, AFR is under 14, fuel trims still max at 34.1. Again wondering what hardware I should check? LPFP? Fuel Filter? Injectors?

Yep. But less air means richer, right?
The turbos have to work harder? More backpressure? How does that impact fuel trim? Is it a targeting thing?

DCIs fixed my fuel trims and allowed me to bump up boost.
Weird New logs and dynos forthcoming. Thanks all for the bang on the head.

Yeah go figure. What, in logs, appeared to be way too much air was solved by adding more air.

Unfortunatly, after 6 months using the aggressive maps i still having these limps mode with fuel pressure codes.
This happens only when cruising on a trip and need to wot with 4th, 5th or 6th gear. The afrs are lean until 5000rpm, fuel trims >30, although i tried ol fuel at 100. So i go back to the cery constant 7-29 autotune maps. Hope when the procede reflash being available to do it at home, that these problems will be solved! |

Fuel pressure codes? Which ones? Have you had your HPFP replaced? Mileage? Mods? Stage of map?

what channel do you log for looking at boost requested vs. boost actual, is it "CAN DME boost target?"

And here's the car running much happier Maybe a pinch too much boost.
Anyone modify the p value in their PID control? Does it look like I need to bump her down or up?
