46 - This stage will reset your ECU? So has this already happened at stage 46 and should I be concerned about it? What does reset your ECU mean?
For Step 40, yes after you choose your chassis code you should immediately see another box prompt like that listing CAS, FRM, and NFRM as the only options. If you don't, then you've done something wrong.

For Step 46, I don't know why it says that because that has not been my experience at all. The backup that happens is that after you click "Back" in Step 43, your FSW_PSW.TRC file contains a trace file of the entire car. That's a good thing to hang onto even though you're not supposed to code using that huge file (you're only supposed to code per module). Steps 43-47 are all really one step, and Step 46 (even though it's a warning and not a step) can be disregarded. Just back up that file as described in Step 49 and carry on.

Who here that has an E92 turned their passenger seat belt extender just so people sitting there will not break the extender. Apologies for the off topic but I felt I had to say what I was thinking.

You know what I'll just turn off the driver's as well now that you've mentioned it while I still have it working. I've already taken it in to the dealer to have that fixed.

Set DSC Off as your M Drive preference and push the M button when you start the car. If you don't have DSC off as an M Drive option, there's a coding option for that.

Oops, sorry about that. In that case no, nobody has figured that out to my knowledge. That would probably involve working with the DME though.

DIY Guide stages 15 & 16 question.
I got to stage 15, selected Karroserie but when I single clicked on Airbag, the F5 button remained as E65. If however, I double click Airbag, the F-keys change and F5 becomes Status which then changes the display. I don't see the word Error anywhere but on the other hand I am not sure that I am getting a successful read from the car. Is this OK?

What should I see when I press F5 for Status to confirm success?

Sort of answering my own question here. I get a different page after I press F5 to the one in the Video at the start of the thread. I asumed this was OK and proceeded and I think it is working as I can download a TRC from the car and the VIN gets displayed.

next question is why do we save a profile that we rename? The instructions don't appear to make reference to it again.

Also I read in another forum that the Expertmode profile should be used to read a module and the profile that we save with a name, should then be used to code a module.

Looking for a bit of reassurance here really.

^ When you create the FSW PSW TRC profile should indeed save it so you can load it going forward when you want to code. That profile should be used for reading and coding modules.

Expertmode will also work but I'm not sure on all the differences, so in those situations I follow instructions.

Following those instructions, in step 32 we Save the Profile as FZG4.PFL
Then we edit the same saved profile, enter the password and then in step 35 save the profile as FSW PSW MAN.

I'm not sure why the profile was originally save as FZG4.PFL or any name and wonder if I have missed something here.

The profile name FSW PSW MAN is a separate entity from the file name; the former is what's displayed in the dialog box where you choose Expertmode or whatever else. Evidently the profile name is auto-saved to the file so you can rename it even after you've saved it out.

I cant get my black dots in INPA to show up while plugged in

i followed the DIY step by step but once i get to starting INPA with ignition on,engine off i cant get the two black dots to work for my air bag test. im afraid my cable isnt recognized thru usb. is this the case? if i try to scan the airbag anyway i get the "data transmission to interface disturbed" message. can i continue anyway with coding as stated in other case?

Also my advanced com port settings looks different. there isnt a latency setting, just the FIFI buffers box and receive/transmit buffer, which ive set to one

any advice?

Use these drivers, then in Advanced set Latency to 1 and make sure you're still at COM1: http://www.osefactory.com/tools/k+dcan/.

please help.

I have searched and have found one parameter to mess with..(I think..)
PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_SL

What are the parameters for making just the AEs(angel eyes) in DRL.

and do I have to use nettodat?

Instead can I just change the wert_ values? to make it brighter?

btw I have LED AEs!

What year is your E90? Need atleast FRM2 (NFRM) to do it. Search "drl_h" and change it to "drl_s"
