This is my first bmw and didnt think of asking if it came with a panic button since virtually every car out there has one. I searched and I asked the dealer if I could just install one and they offered to pay 1/2 but when I went to the SA they said since 2010 you cannot add an alarm. Is there any way to add a chirp or anything when hitting the lock button through coding or other means? I dont want to add an alarm to it.

You can add a basic can-bus alarm. You can also add a RemoteKey+ w or wo the alarm to flash the mirror light and add chirps to lock / unlock. I did this on my 2011 and it's great. If u search I made a thread about the install and products themselves.
