Just butting in, but the 360 is 1.4 seconds faster to 100 than an M5, as read in the latest EVO, oh and 0.2 quicker to 60, if we're being fussy

Oh and in answer to the original question -Do it, I have changed to my RS4, and it is just so, so worth it, MPG doesn't even come into it, once you own the beast! I'm sure others that have made the move will agree

Mate, I would echo what others have said.........if you can afford this, properly, without worrying about servicing, fuel and insurance etc..........then do it !
Life`s for living, and let`s face it.....................what a car !!

Whatever Carl, get back in your box! Still full of it then??
I don't think killing comes into it, they are very evenly matched, but with the same, top driver in each, the 360 is quicker in all situations, not down the bloody pod, with different drivers, like you are quoting. The world doesn't evolve round the pod, well not everyone elses anyway!!

Carlos ive driven both and can tell you the ferrari 360 is very very sharp.
Im a crap driver by my own admittance but i was in a 360cs which murdered a M5(BMW) up the M3(Mtway),he really couldnt keep up.He was quite shocked the driver when he called to say how surprised he was a the pace the 360 could go at. On another note i can tell you the guy changed for a 430 and he said that was real quick.I only pottered around in one of them lol...so have no idea. That saying i would have the M5 for its allday flex and not a supercar(specialist type). If i had the choice i would have a 635D and it may come soon, but at present i got to much time out of this country to even drive my little 320D. |

i am not in the same boat, but looking at what my possibilites may be when I cange my 330d next year, and I am seriously considering a low miler M6.... they'll have depreciated even more than an M5, is 500horsies, and is still a smart 2 door coupe!
what would any of you think about an M6? |

I Know rolling 60mph, the M5 would pull away. Round a track The 360 may have it. Anyone got any track times for them? ring etc? The 360 is a capable ''old'' supercar. The M5 a saloon. But lets call them close as you say... Ones a bleeding saloon LOL. But in effect my 335d could be quicker than your RS4 around a track. A stock 335i went quicker than an RS4. A Stock 335d went quicker than a 335i. Bloody deasels eh. But all of a muchness really. The only point im making is, its kids stuff to quote mag figures. Some cars are slower than factory figures, some are quicker. Some press cars are tuned etc etc. Ive seen 360s go very slow down the pod, just a shite driver, ive seen some set decent times also. It aint as quick as der Ring taxi unfortunately. Brian, the F430 is a wonderful supercar, so good its unreal. Pimpay do it, the M6 is such a awesome bit of kit. If you could enjoy it properly then it would be a no brainer not to.

But that is my point, different people, different cars, different results. But driven by the same person, back to back, the Ferrari is quicker. On paper the 360 is faster. Oh and EVO is hardly kids stuff. I've read most if not all over the years, and the only two subsciptions I have now are Evo and Performance Car. Anyway back to my Beano
