2009 E90 HiFi - Upgrade
Ive been searching for a 2009-2010 used e90 for the last week w/ one of the requirements being the "premium" or upgraded audio system option. Wow, what a confusing mess... I almost pulled the trigger on a car that has the "HiFi" system not realizing that "Top HiFi" is what I'm after. Glad I found this forum.
With that being said, am I correct to assume that as long as I'm getting a 2009 model with "HiFi" that has the tweeter grilles next to the front windows, not "stereo" which doesn't have them, that a cost effective 3rd party upgrade is possible? If so, can anybody recommend a professional service in Southern California that will be able to upgrade my system for < $1500? I've seen Musicar's upgrade package but I'm just not wiling to do this myself. |

With and install you will be paying somebody around 500 to 1000 for unknown results, just on install costs. About the minimum cost for equipment would be 700 to 1100 bucks. |

For what it's worth I just got a quote (before deciding to do it myself) for a SoCal install of Musicar's package (for Base Stereo, not HiFI, so really, more work) for around $500 give or take.
