My mistake. i genuinely thought they didnt do them in 19s! I even looked on the Toyo UK site!!! http://www.toyo.co.uk/productdetail....&product_id=18 (only 13 to 18 inch diameters) bloody typical, u wud have thought they wud update it once in a while The only way to settle this if we all go down at the same time and 'drag it out' as it were |

Pick the weighbridge then mate Although, make sure I get out of the car first otherwise you'll be even more disadvantaged...!!! On a serious note though, interesting about the website - do the same for a 335i petrol in E90 and E92 guises... shows 1535kg vs 1600kg... Doesn't make any sense there then as I've just checked the 330d and you're right there.... Bugger... where's the nearest weighbridge ???!!!! ps... besides, it's pointless for you as we all know that I'll do the weighbridge in 12secs, whereas you'll be stuck in the 13s...

If I weighed my car, I'd have to make sure I got out otherwise the E92 would become an HGV
ps... I wonder how much quicker I would be if I had a skinny bloke driving up the Pod instead of me... ?!

The only problem with 888's is they need to be warm or they can have the oppisite affect.. |

But ive never messed about with my stock tyres.. So to say they have help massively is wrong, they have helped for sure but not massively. But how much compared to stock tyres and me changing pressures which i have never done, just changed tyres from conti-toyo.

So why 17 and not 19? Your time isn't being knocked, all that is being asked is can you include 17's and semi slicks used? It's still the second fastest E9* which is fantastic. |

Carlos, you can settle this argument very easily. If you have times using different tyres put them as separate entries in the table. If other drivers have a similar setup let them do the same. The other mods in the table aren't something that gets changed week in and week out.

Went a run to Kirkbride RWYB on Sunday with a few Subaru folk from Ayrshirescoobies.com, took the car (e92 335d se) up the strip five times and i was happy with the results, 14.16 at 98mph. Round trip was 255 miles which included my five runs on the strip and i only used half a tank of juice, that would have been nearly two tanks in my old scoob.

Tony, I could have sworn that I read BMW material which stated that the cD for the E92 was 0.27?
If it is 0.3 then it is no better than the original Audi coupe/quattro back in the early eighties. So much for progress. Last edited by AlanQS; 05-08-2009 at 06:23 PM.. |

I'd be interested to see how the petrol does against the diesel in a real drag
When is a good time to go down to Santa Pod Carl - is there a BMW day? |

Try RWYb much better. 330i wont be near 335d's or 335i's. Give a good run to a standard 330d.

Yeah I figured as much, on paper the petrol should be faster than the 330d I think... but as you say nowhere near the 335's
Someone told me that it's very difficult to choose who you race due to the queuing system; I'd really like to race my buddy in his Subaru STI (his car will trounce mine on paper but he drives like a girl )... any tips on how to choose who you track with? |
