Driver Side Electric Window Niggle?
Hi all,
E91 2008 318d Quick question... When I try to close my drivers side window by holding the switch beyond the pressure point the window does not go up automatically. I have to hold the switch all the time for the window to go up. Is this right? It will open automatically if pushed passed the pressure point, just not up! All other windows work fine... Weird! Is this a BMW 'safety feature', or is my switch broken?! Any suggestions welcomed. Cheers guys. Ewan. |

You just need to reset the window for the anti-pinch. I can't remember how offhand but it's very easy and is described in the handbook under the section "Electric Windows, Operation".....

Think you need to hold the window button in the up position for around 5 secounds AFTER they are fully closed. Make sure the engine is running when you do it.
