^ The last I heard QTP still sucked, and their motors were still wearing out just as fast. I have heard good things from a few VW guys who use this though...

Its a little different though in the fact that it operates kind of like a wastegate off of a vac source, and it opens any time you go WOT.

Cool idea, thanks for the link. Something to consider for sure but I'm not sure if I want it to open up every time I go WOT...

Np... I wonder if you were to unplug the vac source if the valve would stay open or closed? I would assume that it would stay closed since it operates like a wastegate, but i'm not positive. It would be a PITA to plug and unplug it, but if you only wanted it for track days or every once and a while then it wouldn't be too bad.

Very nice description of "drone".... that's exactly the effect the Eisenmann Race kit produces in my car in the 2-3K rpm range.

Those ATP guys are in the Bay Area so I could go there and check it out / ask them. I actually had my S4 dyno'd there eons ago when they still had a dyno... Now I remember the shop and why that sounded familiar...

I just put on my CP-E exhaust and I was really surprised that for as aggressive sounding as it is, the drone is very minimal. I know that everyone has a different tolerance for drone and it depends on how you drive, but to my ears there really isn't intrusive sounding at all when cruising at 65-70mph.

Has anyone actually dynoed a 335is before & after to see if the aftermarket exhausts do anything but make a power sound?
