Interior Wrap
Sup chaps,
I have just done my interior wrapping of my e92 320d I use 3m's vinyl wrap here, matte white and some general tools indicated from the DIY guide. Great thanks to my housemate on staying up for the whole night trying to help me out on taking out all the trims and wrapping it. Took me nearly 2 hours to take out every trims....especially the center air vent, such a pain to remove the cable with my stupid fat finger.... here is the process.....Enjoy! DONE! I know it doesn't came out 100% good as the professional ones, but this is by far what I can do any thoughts? criticism welcome

2' x 5' is more than enough.
To the OP-- did you use the Scotchprint 1080? I just finished mine last night, the 1080 in anthracite. Will try to take some pics later, but for now, this is what my center console looked like at 7:30 last night. A little bit of the wrap can be seen in the upper right corner of the picture, kind of silver looking. |

Your's looks great and you did a fantastic job and not everyone could have pulled it off.
I agree with you, a lot of people do have the carbon look. But while not quite as uncommon or arresting as your color, the silver carbon look is still rather rare. It took me some getting used to, as my initial impression was that under certain lighting it just did not look good. I would not have been surprised if someone getting into the back seat said, "Dude, why did you duct tape your armrest on?" Anyway, your color combo does look very good. How difficult was it to move your steering wheel to the right side? Here are some pics of my 3M 1080 anthracite interior: Last edited by Wilhelm; 05-28-2012 at 12:07 PM.. |

Too bad about the steering wheel - shouldn't be too hard or long before it gets snapped up. |
