Is "play" in steering wheel covered under a CPO warranty

I've been noticing increased play in my steering wheel lately. Car is a CPO 2007 e90 335i with 60k miles.

Is this something that would covered under a CPO warranty? I have mods on my car right now including DPs and don't want to take them off if this is something that would not be covered under the CPO warranty.

Thanks.

It should be. And be glad it is, when they fixed mine, they did so by replacing the steering column, it would've been a pretty damn expensive repair.

What did you say to your dealer and what did it feel like specifically? I've complained about this to mine and they won't do anything about it.

I said there was play in the steering wheel, then I made the service advisor come out to the car and feel it. This was after it got bad enough that there was a "knocking" sound when you turned the wheel 90 degrees then back another 90 degrees.

I certainly don't have that yet but the play is noticeable on the freeway.
