Heated Steering Wheel

Hello all. I just upgraded my 2009 328i E90 to a 2011 328i E90 this past week. So far I am loving it, going from base to loaded!
I've got two questions, in order of how important they are:

1) I thought I saw somewhere in the description from the dealership that this car had a heated steering wheel. Maybe I just don't know how to activate it, or maybe I misread.
If it's got a heated steering wheel, where do I turn it on? There's nothing between the cruise control and obc stalk.

2) I don't see "ConnectedDrive" on my iDrive, nor can I get this thing to see texts from my HTC Evo 4G LTE. Everything else works great, bluetooth and streaming audio are fine, Office sees all my contacts... etc.

If the car has a heated steering wheel, the button will be on the right side of the steering column below the windshield wiper stalk.

I just had a 2015 courtesy car and the button was on the left side of the steering column.
Man that is a great feature!

MassBimmer, thank you. Is this what you're talking about? (the only clear picture I could find was from an X5)

If so, I don't have it. Is there another place it would be? I'm kind of disappointed, I could really use this feature when it's so cold. What package includes the HSW?
Any ideas if the wheel I have currently is already wired for this? Like the rear fogs.. the car has the wiring already you just have to find the secret switch and do a mod. Any ideas of how I can check would be GREATLY appreciated.

Its on the other side of the steering wheel column on my 2010 E92.

This. In the E9x's it's on the right side. OP, the button you have pictured is the correct one. If it doesn't have it, you don't have a heated steering wheel. I don't think you can add it either...you would at least need a whole new steering wheel. The headlight washers, heated seats and heated steering wheel were all part of the cold weather package but I believe were also available as individual options

The option code for a heated steering wheel is S248A. It doesn't appear that your car has one according to the option list.

Heated steeing wheels sucks, when's it's really cold outside it doesn't want to work. You turn it on and it turns off. I ended up taking mine out and replacing with m sport wheel.

Mine works great here in MN, when its below 0F for months on end, I wouldnt buy a winter car without the feature

Love the feature. I feel the button for it is placed in such an awkward position though.
