thanks for all the replies. BTW forgot to add...i posted a while ago about a "whistle" from the passenger door. this turned out NOT to be the door seal but a hairline crack in the wing mirror housing. BMW Dealer replaced entire passenger door mirror housing and since then problem resolved, result! |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80295 not a lot more detail. basically dealer diagnosed in the following way: - motorway test drive with me to repro issue - motorway test drive with mirrors in "folded" position, no noise - motorway test drive with mirrors in normal position, noise back - motorway test drive with duck-tape all over passenger door mirror, no noise replaced entire passenger door mirror housing - problem fixed |

your dead right the wood on the dash looks like brown wood in the pics but in real life the dary grey poplar wood looks a LOT better and greyer/blacker and classier!! fits really well with the black dakota.

i find the ride v.good and a lot better in terms of tram lining than i was expecting . last two cars have both been E60's on 18" RFT's so i am used to this kind of setup. if your coming from non-rft or non m-sport suspension it might take a bit of getting used to
