I wouldnt say that at all compared to the N54 at least. N55 is probably the most complicated though. You have to remember they are increasing valve lift for more power, but also have to use the valve lift for the throttle so things do get a bit complex when dealing with valvetronic which the N54 doesnt have.. Also you can be safer when advancing the spark more in the N54 since it has DI, but have to be more careful with the N52 since it has injection earlier along the intake track.

Yes. More sets are done. They are coming along slowly but surely. If you go get your ECU scanned I will reward you personally.

Nice, good to hear. Yeah, I'll be getting my ECU scanned soon and hopefully get more information on this new novelty for us N51/52 folk.

I know there is a long way to go with development of the tune for the n52 especially after dyno testing etc BUT..... could we expect an N52 openflash tablet by the end of august?

A lot depends on how much data I can gather over the next couple of weeks. The read/write process is already done. Now it will just be a matter of finding all the relevant tables and creating good XDF files that will allow for easy tuning. Hate giving ETAs at this point. Might be able to give one later next week

Awesome! One more question and this might sound stupid because I don't know too much about tuning, maybe even engine work in general

. AA flash is similar to this in that it edits the DME file directly. Will we also be able to incorporate the amplified throttle response with the remapping?

So is this just going to be something to change a few parameters or is this going to be an actual tune that you guys are developing for the n52?

This will give you the option to do both.. flash any pre-made tune, OR modify the parameters on your own to create yourself a full custom tune.

For custom, you'd probably want to go to a dyno shop and have someone tune your car. if you REALLY know what you are doing, you can do it yourself.
