I've always bragged about the fact I can get 600 miles out of mine (which is falling a bit, incidentally ) but reading What Car at the weekend it mentioned you should manage 790!

lee888, make sure it is an Edition model for the wheels (and leather, mettalic, nav and bluetooth for £1000) http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/offers/ed...-bmwuk,00.html

cafe.racer, the chap that sold me the car had just swapped a 320d coupe for the saloon and he said that his last full tank of fuel gave him 748 miles.

That works out 57.5 MPG based on useing 13 of the 13.1 gallons in the tank

I thought I was careful.

Only up until the point you sign on the line, then they just ignore you completely.

How can you tell when a car salesman is lying? His lips are moving. Or was that estate agents, I forget now

stephen3rd,

yes m8 after the post on here about the edition models thats the one to get , all those extra options for free theres no other choice!

Did you go for the auto or manual?, colour of leather?

Is the 6FL usb any good a must option?, I noticed the cd player plays mp3 anyway.

6FL is really good. For only a few quid you can stick in a 4GB memory stick with more tunes than you could ever stick on a CD.

Ladies, BB. I noted 'Lisa from NI' contributed to this thread. First time I had seen her on here. Nice to see some more female interest!

Very nice, I like the alloys

6FL is great, it should come as standard, memory sticks are up to 32GB now and certain hard drives work too

I totally agree. There was a young lady called Lou some weeks back? C'mon girls, you don't need a degree in mecanical engineering to post. I sure as hell haven't. Besides, I'm an old bird - ask Calvin.

You certainly won't regret it. Personally, I'd also tick the HiFi box if you can. The bog standard system is a bit lacking in clarity which the HiFi option addresses nicely.

Though it is easy to run away with the options.

Cheers m8 , I had alook at that but like you say running away with extra options is bumping the cost up a lot.

I'm going for the 320d edition touring in sparkling graphite with

exterior mirror pack

visibility pack

sun protection glass

black leather

auto box

pro nav.

heated front seats.

and as suggested by all 6FL usb.
