New e92 owner needing some info / advice

Hi everyone!
Last week i bought myself a e92 320i auto! loving the car as it is a step up from my 18 year old japanese import toyota starlet 1.3 turbo.

However there are a couple of things i need to sort out and fix

Main problem is the engine management light is on. i had the AA come out and have a look at it and he came up with the code - P2205 and this means nox sensor heater control circuit / open bank 1

does anyone know of this problem or what needs to be done to fix it? is it a job i could do myself or would it need professional work doing? i have some mechanical skills but not used to working on newer cars like this one.

The other problem i have is the drivers side belt handover dose not pop out . is this an expensive problem?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Josh

Bring it back to the dealer that sold you the car and get it fixed!

It was a private sale and it came on after buying it.

Is it an expencive fix?

You drive a BMW! Everything is expensive

I would get it to a dealer, make a Check-up of your car, get an amount of what it would cost you, let repair the important things from the dealer and the simple things try to fix yourself...

But that's me and i'm not you

Took it to a local specialist

And they said it was an element that heated up to give you warm air through the heaters before the engine gets warm. He said it would be £400 to replace

I only mentioned doing it myself incase someone else had the same issue and did it themselves and it was a 5 min job or something thats all.

As i said im new to BMW's and newer cars so this is the point of asking these questions.

apart from this i am loving the car!

cheers
