Very weird problem with new tires...

Just replaced the DWS tires (which replaced the Bridgestone runflats) on my 335is with these top-rated Hankook Ventus S2 noble 1 tires. At low speeds only, like 20 or 30mph, the car feels like it's bouncing along the typical lousy roads here in NJ. On perfectly smooth surfaces it's smooth. And at high speeds there's no problem. But at low speeds it's as if the tires and the suspension don't like each other. Had tires road- force balanced. Never experienced this sensation before on any of my 7 previous BMWs, or on my previous 335i. Any ideas?

Just curious, why did you choose those over the PSS?

Sounds like too much air in the tires. Lower the PSI and dont do it blindly, get a gauge.

Thanks for replies. I tried lower pressure--down to 32 front 35 rear. Don't know how much lower I can go. Maybe higher rather than lower?

Regarding road force: I never got the numbers but they took very little weight to balance each one (if that makes any difference). Regarding the PSSs: I heard they're great except in real winter conditions. Tire rack customer service says they can take them back. Maybe I'll stick with the old reliable DWSs.

i dont know about your particular issue, but i had nightmare balancing my Hankooks and at the end 1 tire was defective and its road force numbers were a bit more then other 3. got tire replaced and shop even paid for dealership to do all work and road force all 4. no problems now.

What sizes are the tires? Stock? You're not x drive are you?

I know for us x drive guys the rolling diameter of the wheels matter. I'd take it back to the shop and have them check the balancing again too. If you feel something isn't right, you're probably right.
