Just out of curiosity, when is it jumpy? In D or in M/S (or both)? I haven't done it yet and I'm trying to learn more about it.

Flash it back. Did this shit for one day and the wife was like "Oh, hell no." It just doesn't suit the character of the my car as it sits. It is a 4-door luxury sedan with sporty pretensions, not a freaking high strung racecar. It was cool for 1% of the time and lame the other 99%.
What I need is a manual mode that is like the Alpina flash and everything else standard. |

My trans is jumpy and I haven't even done the alpina yet. After the shift from 1->2, there's almost this lurch forward under low acceleration. Doesn't happen when driving spiritedly or WOT, just low acceleration. I'm hoping the trans flash fixes it. Anyone else experienced this?

You suppose to copy down your old assembly line number and basically use that number in place of the Alpina assembly line number of 7615835. If you don't know it then just use the latest assembly line number on the gke215.
Dark knight. What happened to a couple of your posts. Why is there just a . |

Truth be known I did it without coercion.
I feared the thread would start to tailspin into a "oh my God something happened to your transmission? How do I flash back to stock" thread. This is far from the case- it is simply one chicken shit 335 driver that just simply felt that the stock transmission was the better choice for him. I absolutely do not want to make it look like I'm bashing the trans flash, and to be quite honest with you it works well for many people, it simply ran its course for me, and I was just looking for a thread to get some sort of validation as to why I should keep it flashed. I certainly didn't want to put Steve's good name to shame, I deleted them myself out of consideration. My apologies to Steve and anyone else in the scene working hard to bring this great flash to the masses, as well as for any negative attention or confusion among other fellow members. Thanks for understanding guys. |

Wtf! My flash is amazing. It works fantastic. My OEM would have occasional jerks and my alpina has none. I abuse it all day in D, S and M modes.. Zero issues. I've had it for almost 3 months..

The point is that we should all think before we post inane stupidity, and instead flip a coin to make decisions, or do rock, paper, scissors with a friend. At least I'm man enough to admit it was a pointless whiney thread.
This thread should be closed and deleted. Mods, please do so, or alternatively, let's stop posting and let it fade away into the sunset... Hey, at least I didn't post about how to do muffler delete, my wicked red and blue angels with HID fogs that could blind God but look mad cool, or look at me, my parents never loved me, so I'll make my third post under my third [yet to be banned alias] about how I'm 16 and got my first 335 because racecar. Later. |

Listen. There are Ofcourse many opinions to what people want or feel out of their cars. Opinions are subjective and there is nothing wrong with not liking the Alpina flash. Different strokes for different folks. It's good to get both sides of the scope. Dark Knight you should not have deleted your threads as its welcomed to hear from both sides of the spectrum. Although I haven't heard to many people reverting back to old software after getting flashed, but there are some but its a very very small pool of people. It more I guess for people who really drive their cars hard.

Nothing against an honest opinion! Dark, you hated your PE, i love it... So... Not everything is for everybody! I find it much more interesting to have a person sticking to his opinion! Even if those guys did a good job with the flash, you don't HAVE TO like just because a lot of people on this board do!!!

I know, thanks guys- I just felt it would be misinterpreted as a negative review- which it wasn't. I guess I felt it was more for damage control. I can't remember what I wrote now anyway lol
Ninja pretty much summed it up though |

well the only reason i asked how to flash back to stock is because my lease is up soon and i just want it as stock as possible .... thought about just leaving it flashed for one lucky buyer, but what happens when they complain about a hard quick shift
