Want to lower E90 Non sport ! n00b here

i just recently purchased 189s for my non sport e90, and theres quite a gap between the rims. i want to drop my ride, but can i just buy the lowering springs or do i need to buy the set of coil-overs? will my ride be too rough if i just switch the springs ? i can already feel the difference between the 156's to 189s

thanks !
