hello again
packages are ready to ship for tomorow, I would like to thank Unklejoe, not just for inquiring about the io2, but having the expertise to realize what the io2 really is....thank you my friend. I would also note, Unklejoe seemed to be searching for something that would work not just for himself, but for all of you also. I am under the impression Unklejoe seemed to put a lot of time and research into finding a solution for the entire BMW community, I think he is owed a great deal of recognition for his efforts, wether it works or not. Please give recognition to Unklejoe for finding us, as he was ready to create what we already created, and believe it or not, the io2 took nearly 2 years to develop. thank you Sir. ****** we accept the challenge, and the challenge will be conquered. |

Hello Johnny Boost
would we need a moderator to approve a new post, after all we are promoting a product... our first crappy video of the io2 in action, installed on a 2007 Jeep with a bad bank 1 cat, bank 2 was fine. I have sent both samples out, regular Canada Post, which usually take awhile. ****** |

I'm a mech engineer and will help out in any way I can. Currently have a 2011 Xdrive with working cat installed, and a catless downpipe ready to go. I'm very familiar with technical items and can help troubleshoot as best as my electrical ability. I've been working on cars for 10+years and have performed total engine rebuild/overhauls. New to BMWs though. I also have OBD2 reader (Android), along with JB4 to help diagnose. PM me if you are interested in collaborating. Bill |

Has anybody tried something like this?
http://urdusa.com/store/Electronics-...duct_info.html We need electrical only solution. Mechanical just won't ever work. |

Hi everyone
wow! $149.00, wgknestrick should we put the price up for the io2? Im kidding, the io2 is priced low due to lower overhead at the present time, and we will continue to offer it at the lowest price we can ($42.00 USD) we do appreciate the offer wgknestrick, one thing we are looking into is a plug and play version, however an io2 for each manufacturer connector rather than solder and shrink tube will just drive the cost up, im sure you understand. thus far, the io2 has proven itself against anything, from Cadillac to Prius.... and it's cheaper.....and we have support!! who else commits to a sim like us? we are here for the long haul. if your an N55 owner, wait until the testing is complete, we are only about 2 weeks away. my bet, the io2 will prevail. ****** |

We did a little more research on the URD unit.
they say "Toyota started using a wideband type O2 sensor (air/fuel ratio) in the front position for better engine control. These wideband type sensors need to be recalibrated from time to time by the ECU. The ECU uses the rear sensors for this recalibration process. The ECU cannot properly recalibrate the wideband sensor using a falsely generated signal. This process is explained here, US Patent 5706654." which is completely true, however, this is not just Toyota. this is many newer model vehicles after about 2004. the io2 addresses this issue also, we designed the software for newer model vehicles in mind. The rear o2 does in fact play a roll in "calibrating" the primary o2, which translates into fuel trim control. The io2's output takes care of this, because it's output is based on actual oxygen content in the exhaust. ****** |

Hello FrankiE90
thank you, I consider this a privilege. I also want to extend my gratitude to the BMW community here, for accepting us, with such a welcome. I really appreciate the warm welcome from all of you. the sample's should be arriving shortly (canada post is slow) 335m and fsugatorbait, you should receive the samples by about Wednesday/Thursday next week, hopefully earlier. I ask that you be honest, on design, hookup, etc. if you think its ugly, say so....your critique will help us, and we will embrace all criticism. thanks again ****** |

Hello Everyone
we are very excited, the samples should arrive this week!!! for our testers, if you are data logging, you may notice the io2 respond like at bad cat at idle (this is normal, and dont worry, drive it, and let it pass the efficiency test) depending on the condition of the rear o2 this may be normal, not to worry.... I have included install instructions with the samples, please report any errors (we would appreciate it) if you need to download the instructions they can be found at http://www.******.ca/wp-content/uplo...lationrev2.pdf please, if you need any assistance with the install let me know. thanks again for helping us out and the BMW community here at e90post ****** |

I should hopefully receive this product sometime this week and will be installing ASAP.
The install looks very simple, my only concern is that I have heard there are multiple o2 sensors on these cars. Just want to confirm that the o2 sensor plugged into my Catless DP is the one I should be splicing, and it is a Bosch sensor right?

I received mine a couple days ago and had it installed along with the downpipe today. Other than finding a power source not related to the O2 sensor everything else went smoothly. I've got about 35 miles on the car so far and all is well.

So does it work? I have tested a few mechanical O2 gap and within 500 miles you get the SES or within 200 miles of hard driving the SES comes on... It never gets the "ready" state
If this O2 SIM sets it to ready, it would be awesome |
