Wow! That's some nasty stuff there!
Btw, opening the hood will only make the fire grow bigger due to the increased oxygen flow. You should have left it shut, but i guess i wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway ... Good thing you're ok. I am curious to find out what exactly caught fire.

That is crazy! I had a buddy that left a shop rag in his engine bay near his alternator once and this same thing happened. But from where you pointed in the earlier post, I cannot think of any causes for this fire. Must have had a fuel leak. |
