So a stage 2si it is. It'll fit the PI intake I think and the RM coupler goes with the airbox, oh well. No idea if the flow is increased over that of the PI but it doesn't really matter, the shop's measured consistent hp increases when using Green Filter elements, including a custom for the AFE they're currently using. So that's step two.

Will go well with the custom thinwall 304SS racing exhaust (4" dia I think) and Magnaflow muffler. Going to get this done now ahead of the other work. They'll set up the exhaust for max hp whether it's with sec cats, resonator, either, or none. Should ratchet the sound up nicely.

Thanks for following this through including your work swapping the intakes out on the dyno, very nicely done!

Not a problem, I try to make as many contributions as I can, but life happens and slows the modding process down. I'm super curious to see what you come up with when you swap the parts out, I actually think the exhaust will be a big gainer. The tubing after the merger doesn't matter much, so I would have a Vband middle section to swap in and out a single in/out HFC and race pipe. The AFE comes with it's own tubing to the Throttle body, so if (or when) you sell some of your old parts, keep me in mind!

Buy my Burns Stainless Y pipe, I could use the extra $$$, and you would like it - it's a quality piece.

Cool. If you want the PI airbox, filter, and RM coupler they're yours for the cost of shipping. No idea if it's worth it to you though.

What's a Burns Stainless Y pipe?

PM me if that's the case!

Burns Stainless is a tuned Y pipe for maximum savaging and power, it was made by Burns Stainless a few years ago for us as part of a group buy. It was going to be for a custom 3" header back - but I don't know if it will ever be in the cards for me...

PM sent.

Thought that might be what the Y pipe is. Sorry but the shop'll be building the exhaust from the headers back. I've seen the other work they've done, pretty awesome, these guys can fab anything it seems.

In the event they have to have a Y pipe fabbed the Burns part may be a better alternative, where can I find info on it? Thanks.

Here's an idea, probably pointless but, um, yolo ya know? To help cut heatsoak wrap the coupler and airbox and CAI scoops and housing with this stuff

https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=11221

Gonna put some on the engine side of the PI scoop housing and wrap the AFE coupler with it. Probably slap a bit on the airbox surfaces facing the engine. Doesn't really matter on the track but it does on the street. Or not. It's a science experiment.
