I know this might have been mentioned already and I might have missed it but what sort of tuning solution are you using and what did you do to vent the the crank case??? You said you weren't running a filter so I'm assuming you're not using the turbo to suck in/pull the crank case vapors, correct? What do you have set up?

LOL HPF, They didnt want to risk losing the E46 market by tainting their reputation if a N54 blew up. Also best sounding 335 I dont know about that.

For fueling we will move forward with E85/no meth and utilize a new HPFP and rail upgraded from Vargas

This is the second time he has helped us out even though this is a big single build
Vargas FTW

What % e85 do you plan on running? Is the added knock suppression sufficient to not run with meth? Just curious..

E85>is greater than methanol injection especially in a DI app. I run e60 on my mazdaspeed 3 (direct injection) + I added full port injection to the intake manifold and took methanol off the car. The car runs 37lbs on a hta3582 with a good amount of timing and whenever I see kr its less than 1 count. Also getting the car off gas will take care of the carbon deposits on the valves. Since you can fab as well check out the Ross machine racing dual injector assembly and split second controller a1c1 and consider adding some fic1100s Pre tb. BTW, just suggestions,...saw this thread and I was excited/happy with the work...kinda wish I got rolling doing the same thing on my 335i but 1 project car keeps me plenty busy.

We plan on go to straight E85. Im not a doctor, but timing and boost will all be considered as it is tuned for this fuel.

These are also benefits i hope to enjoy. Also no more E85 calculator and swiping the card at the pump for E85 and then having to walk inside to play for an exact amount of 93

I might be speaking out of my ass but I wonder if the HPFP on the 335i will be able to support 100%e85 @ increased load. I know on my mazdadpeed i have to scale the direct injection fueling down as I increase the ethanol content or fuel pressure will drop like a rock @WOT. Another thing I have to do is remove, clean, & lube/clean the spill valve solenoid periodically or I will have fuel pressure issues as well. From what I've seen the hpfp can not support as much fueling capacity as you increase the ethanol content which probably isn't an issue for a car with boltons but in your case it might be unless you add a substantial amount of fueling. Either way good luck and I think you are doing the right thing.

Thanks, and you are not speaking out of your arse..

We will be working on the LPFP side of things as well to support my ethanol habit
