Garage List
Why would you want to bypass the occupancy sensor?

It would be quicker, cheaper and easier to cut the seatbelt 'plug' from a scrapped E9x and just plug it into the socket of the passenger seat.

No mate. This error appears when the occupancy sensor mat in the passenger seat has a circuit break / or decreased resistance due to water ingress.

Sensor mat is approx £110 excluding VAT and then you would be looking to rip the seat to fit it.

It is very common and people should not be kneeling on the passenger seat / spilling the fluids there.

There is also a recall for this on late 2006 and early 07 cars.

Ring your loca dealer and tell them that there is a recall going on for occupancy sensor and you wonder if your car is covered.
