Quality Exhaust Shop?

Hey All,

I'm looking for a quality exhaust shop in the Boston Area, preferably between Southern NH and Boston.

I need to have an X-Pipe and Exhaust installed on my M which will require some welding. Please share any recommendations or experiences you may have had.

I did a regional search but did not find anything concrete on the topic. My apologies if the topic has already been discussed.

Thanks!

Which exhaust are you getting that requires welding? Most of the M3 stuff are bolt on.

I'd try Unique Custom Exhaust in Burlington, MA

Yeah, that's correct. You have some very unique taste for mods. The ACS mufflers sounded awesome though!

I'm getting myself the Fabspeed x-pipe soon.

well originally i was going for the Remus Race but i found a member here looking to change his set-up.. so he'll be passing on his ACS Race rear section and SS X-Pipe to me.. intially i wasn't too fond of the ACS exhaust tips but after seeing a black e92 m3 in person with the same set-up it grew on me.. really works well with the lines of the car

i've heard good things about the fabspeed.. makots is running them with the eisenmann race but i have yet to hear it

You got the setup from elmariachi in S'pore? That's awesome!

I know Charles got the x-pipe. I'm thinking of doing the x-pipe with race cats (Fabspeed claims their HFC won't trigger any codes, but would just do the x-pipe for now. I'm trying to conserve some money and see if I can actually buy a condo. I might have to go as far as parting out my car and drive a Honda Fit for a couple years until I become an attending. Who knows?

haha yea it would elmariachi.. after hearing his videos i fell in love.. never thought i would be buying is actual set-up!!! lol

i believe he is going with akrapovic system.. a bit more tame on the loudness factor but with proven gains.. from what i hear the singapore police aren;t too friendly

what are you doing for exhaust? or do you already have?

with the x-pipe that should suffice.. instead of primary HFCs you should invest in pulleys or a tune (if you plan to keep your car lol)

and knowing you kev anything is possible.. but TRY to enjoy the car.. you've only had it a few months!

but if you do decide to downgrade.. i got a new style toyota matrix as a rental last week.. and i was impressed.. the car handles like a charm and drives with a very nice feel.. better than my sister's '08 civic in many categories

(p.s. i call dibs on your Advan wheels )

I already have the Fame Freiheit mufflers installed on my car. It's a very deep throaty sound, but not very loud and passed the wife test. I'm just trying to open the car up a bit more with the x-pipe for sound factor.

I already have the AA pulley and filter. I'll wait till the dust settles for my home buying adventure then I'll decide what I want performance-wise. The reason I haven't gotten a tune is that I'm inclined to get a full s/c setup because I miss the TQ on my 335. LOL~

Stands for Tungsten Inert Gas, it is the only type of welding that you should do on Stainless steel to prevent rust and cracks.
