I can't even beat 12.7 and here you are almost in the 11's...

Wow... that's 100% traction.

I was dissapointed with my 12.8, but we trap the same mph... meaning... you are seriously hooking up...

I'd say it was a helluva track-day-prep and nice cool temps. Back 'er up!

To be honest I think I got 99% out of the car with the current configuration. Perfect weather, perfect timing in the JB4 logs, etc. Only thing I could have done better was run with less gas (was between 1/3 and 1/2 tank).

I will have to get new wheels and tires or remove the midcats to go faster I think.

You have your logs? would love to see. Your trap was a tad higher than mine, maybe 1/2 mph faster.

Do you weigh your car at the track too? mine was 3950 with me in it.

The X1 is heavier than your car to start. Pulling the seats doesn't make .2s difference. Besides, it takes 10 minutes, 4 bolts on the front seat, 6 in the back. You should try it, I'm curious what difference it will make for your times.

X1 curb weight is 3890, and thats without the optional 19in wheels and tires which I have (54lbs each). Your car is still lighter than mine with seats pulled if you are at 3950 with you in it.

go weigh your car im curious to see. curb weight for the 335 is around 3780, add 100 pounds for a subwoofer/amp, i have 19s too. we're even.

thats not representative of street car to take out your seats...hold on ill pull up to you at the stoplight and pull out my seats lol

2011 135i M Sport

Hey guys. I'm new to the N55 scene. I recently got a 2011 135i M sport with a Manual trans. I got the car and it already had a berk exhaust and set of apex 8 wheels. I've installed the Cobb AP and a ER Intercooler recently and took her down the track. Here is my best time and a few pics of the car.

Great car! Welcome to have you aboard. work on that 60' and you'll be in the 12s no problem. shift at 5000, our powerband sucks

When you look at the logs on the current maps, 5000RPM is where you want to be shifting... Boost/Power really comes off approx here.

Horrible Drag Times

Well finally got to the track last night with my car and laid down some bad runs. I had a hard time getting out of the hole with the stock RFT tires at 30PSI launching in 1st gear. Im running 5 Gal of E85, map5 with the rest 93 octane. I tried launching in 2nd but my clutch got a little burned up. My best was a 14.00@108.39 MPH. 60' was 2.605. So obviously I need to run lower pressure in my tires and leave better. Do you guys turn DTC off? I tried that with one run and killed the tires through 2nd gear. Maybe I can find someone selling a set of Drag Radials on 17"rims.

So what's the general consensus on the optimum shift points? 5500 or 6200 or 6800rpm??
