Exclamation Introduction: My 328xi Touring Msport

I'm new to this forum so I thought I would introduce myself and my new(ish) vehicle...

Bought this about a year ago and I believe it's the only 2010 328xi Msport Touring in Canada. I was told the previous owner 'special ordered it' and had it imported to Canada. I lived in Europe for 9 years and only drove wagons (aka Touring, Combi, Estate). When I saw this car at a local BMW dealer I had to have it as it was nearly identical to my 2007 car in Germany. I also owned a 535d Msport Touring in the U.K. and loved it (until it was nicked! )

Any advice or recommendations on what to do with my car to add a bit more personality? I've already have a set of 18" MV3 Msport wheels. I've also thought about the front splitters??

Thanks for looking!!

Wow...that was far from intuitive!! Anyway, got it working now.
Why is there an 'insert image' button when you actually use the 'manage attachments' tool for pictures???

Love the color!

Post some pictures after you put the 18" on. I'm curious to see how they look on the x.

gorgeous.. that only combi I'd ever consider owning... and that colour!

Mods? Tint the windows; black the grilles; smoked LED side markers - that's what I'd do.. inexpensive mods, at that!

Ha... I actually had the dealer remove the tint... I hated it and it was tough to see out. I never understood the look of slammed 3's with huge wheels, stretched tires and windows which you can not see out of?? I guess to each their own. I'm only interested in performance mods and subtle visual enhancements. The interior has the burl walnut trim option... why would someone do this??? How difficult is it to swap it out??

As for 18" wheels, I need to get new tires first. Any suggestions?

If it was tough to see out, then it was likely too deep a tint; even 50% will make a big difference in looks.. and it'll add at least 5HP ;-)

I'm in love with your car!! Thats exactly what i was looking for but they are impossible to find here in Canada. More pics please, interior and rear. Swap the trim for carbon leather, very light tint on the windows (classy) and black out the grills..... done!

I will post some more pics once I get the car cleaned after a hard winter!

What about wheel spacers?? I would also like to swap out the interior trim as I'm not liking the dark walnut. Any suggestions on where to get the carbon stuff that I've seen in some other Msport's? I don't like most of the fake carbon I've seen.

Well the best upgrade that is as easy as 1 2 3 is the 335i brake upgrade,
cheap if you will get everything of the wrecking yard.
I did it when I have had mine ( 2010 black with mtech front bumper, manual, fully loaded ) All of the brakes front and rear do bolt up ( right up ) rotors, and calipers no modifications needed at all.
Hope that helps
Enjoy !

Welcome to the exclusive E91 club. Beautiful color.

First Mod - remove the roof rails. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17396

I did that on mine and it looks so much cleaner.

Ha... need the roof rails -that's the whole point of a Touring!! (Thule box, bike rack, etc..) Especially as it's a real pain to find a nice fitting hitch here in North America.

Now that is one dead sexy wagon! I LOVE your current wheels - what model are they?

Definitely do not remove the rails. So useful and they look weird without them. I so want to backdate my '11 to the old style rails, they are so much more useful.

The OE wheels are type 194 17" Msport. I like them but the car does look better on the 193M 18"s.

Once you remove the roof rails the roof of E91 has the same attachment points like E90 has. You can just use the E90 roof rack cross bars with mounts.

Nice car! Looks just like my 2012 I picked up in Munich in May of that year. Here it is just after leaving the Welt, with Mother Nature adjusting the factory-fresh cleanliness. Manual trans, M-Sport package.

And here's what it looks like back in the States on the summer rubber - BBS RS GTs, staggered fitment.....

18s on non-RFT tires ride better than the stock 17s with RFTs, for the record....
