Airbag Reset and POS reset
Hi, Im kinda new to this coding thing, i only have a little exp with coding the car. I have all the bmw standard tools installed from 2.12 with the updates (i think i have the latest ones). ive managed to do a few things, basics with the key fob and windows, and the dash display (digital velocity.)
I have one main problem though. All of the airbag lights are coming up and i would like to reset them. The driver airbag, the passenger airbag, the Passenger airbag off indicator on the overhead panel, and the passenger seatbelt light. I have a 2011 328xi How it happened: I got in a car accident some time ago, (and turns out my insurance dropped me just two days prior due to too many tickets and probably an accident i had a few years back.) i fixed everything (drivers front airbag, and passenger side airbag) except the driver side seatbelt. (ill replace the pretensioner at some point). I am not sure if the pretensioner replacement is required for the airbag light to go away but im guessing it isnt. Before i got into the coding scene I gave my car to a mechanic of a friend of mine to reset it and he said it needs to be programmed, and it will cost $300+ which is ridiculous. Even worse, when i got the car back, the Passenger airbag off indicator located on the overhead panel keeps blinking and the passenger airbag light is on too (they werent on before i gave it to him). it seems, he made the damn thing worse with whatever he did! I tried reading the errors with inpa and it says there are 15 of them. Can any of you help me? Is it something i can fix? do i have to take it in to the dealer? an image of the dash display https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_X...ew?usp=sharing A list of the errors (text) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_X...ew?usp=sharing Last edited by supachiney; 04-25-2015 at 04:24 PM.. |

Load expert mode profile, and default code your MRS/ABG module. More than likely some values were set to not active trying to turn off the original errors. Which would work if those items were unplugged.
F1, F3, E89/CAS, F4, ABG/MRS, F2, SG_CODIERN, done. Start INPA, clear errors, restart car. |
