altered exhaust tone in sport mode?
i've got a 2007 335, the exhaust seems louder in sport mode. Did BMW make alterations to the exhaust tone in sport mode? i've seen some other manufacturers do that....

Jeez, umm that stock exhaust on the 335 is anything but loud. How old are you neighbors? Maybe you should check if the PO has done the golf tee mod. Now, the AA Gen III on my E36 is something I would consider "loud" and it's not bad.

Yes, sports mode keeps exhaust flap open longer.
If you want it always a bit louder, look up golf tee mod. ^^^^And the stock exhaust sounds very good, its surprisingly loud for stock..but you have a sedan which is quiter than my coupe so maybe thats why. |

Btw, just looked at your other threads you said previous owner was an enthusiast so maybe he did something to the exhaust. Look to see i you have you resonator, secondary cats or maybe you een have downpipes on the car.
Check it out! |
