Tire Circumference on Xi

I have the opportunity to upgrade my wheels to 189 Wheels 18x8 and 18x8.5 I would like too keep a square set up. I think that the square setup will have a much larger selection of tires as well as no increase the amount of under steer because of the much larger tire patch in the rear. My question is can you put 225/40-18 tires on the rear with some stretch and not affect the over all circumference enough to cause additional wear on the all wheel drive system? Any other ideas for wheel/tire set ups? I can get these wheels for 600 with sensors.

8/8.5 is not square and you can't rotate them front to back anyway. Square is the same width front and rear. They're stock wheels. Run the stock tire sizes, 225/255. Pretty simple.

I understand that they are not square wheels. I am asking if I could run 225/40-18 on those wheels with out any problems.

Yes, you could. 225 on 8.5" is not stretched. It's a proper size.
