Frankie, did you find a state-side supercharger for our cars? If so, then maybe LET can create us a custom tune.

but i would think Active Autowerke or vortech, one day, will have a solution. who knows... if active autowerke will do a supercharger like they did for the e46 but for the e90, i'll be all over it.

MY .02 If companies here in the US were really interested in making a supercharger for the E90 (Which there seems to be a huge market for, I know I would buy one for 6K) Why can't they just buy this kit and reverse engineer it? Sounds like a simple concept?

I dont think companies are interested just because one model above ours is already a turbo charged model offered at a good price (335) which is probley what is stopping companies from producing a kit which can run quite expensive and into 335 prices?
However if they did offer one for our cars at a good price i'd definitely be interested! |

Im in on this..... I would be the guinea pig, As long as they give me the unit dirt cheap to play with it.
But you guys are right, for the price might as well sell our N52 cars and stepup to a 335. Heck it might even be worth it to look for a crashed N54 Engine car and do a swap!

Do you realize how stupid you just made yourself sound? For someone from Indonesia to bash on Taiwan or Singapore is hilarious. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Please do yourself a favor and have the DECENCY of looking up your neighboring country and how it ranks in the world compared to yours. And after that, look up Taiwan and how it compares to yours. Both countries are way ahead of you in terms of development and GDP and other various financial statistics. Now... I realize you could be rich because otherwise you wouldn't be on a BMW forum but that still doesn't make your judgement any more ignorant. Your computer is probably made in Taiwan. Your cell phone is probably made in Taiwan. China has taken over a lot of our market share (solely due to cheap labor) but we consistently produce stuff that doesn't get thrown out every five God damn minutes. Being occupied by Japan for a period of time has brought their engineering ethos to our electronics. Ever heard of HTC mobiles (prolly not because of your ignorance... Sorry I forgot)? On par with iPhones and other gadgetries on the market. This is not national pride stepping in. This is an issue about how you fail to understand what a third world country truely is. /end rant Finally... Back to the supercharger. This looks very promising. I might give them a ring when I head back home for summer break. I've always been more inclined to a supercharger after seeing the G-Power SKII M3 with that gorgeous orange intake manifold.

not only shorten the life of the engine, but how about the tranny, the diff, the clutch ?
All of these will be affected as they were not designed to handle that kind of torque. Just my two words...

Pardon me for my ignorance about Taiwan being a third-world. I was stuck on information ages back. But, ignorance for one part does not directly infer ignorance of another. I'm well aware of the factors of production, and the marginal cost to each product produced, along with the quality of certain goods. It is as ignorant of u to claim that all Taiwanese products are consistently made in high quality. And although Taiwan has a relatively low labor cost, it is clearly not lower than Indonesia's, as statistic shows clearly that on average factory workers in Taiwan earn an approximate figure of 1,200USD a month in comparisn to IDN 700USD which isn't a comparison at all. On technical terms, the countries GDP does vary a lot, and through it the GNI and GDP/capita does reflect an individual's quality of life, which clearly shows that IDN is poorer, but that was not the question, neither an answer or anything, nor does it attempt to prove anything, as we are not comparing who is poorer.
Anyhow, let's not jack this thread and discuss pointless arguments. And to those of u who feel offended, I sincerely apologize. My main point was that I personally wouldn't trust that company solely because we are dealing with a European car. But if anyone wanna prove me wrong and try this out, then I'd like to see some data |
