I wouldn't put any of that stuff on my car. It's very likely none of those exhausts have been tuned or tested and the sound quality, loudness, drone, etc. is of unknown quality.
If you're buying a hammer or screwdriver, maybe you can say steel is steel and no big deal. But an exhaust system is more than just some welded pipes. It takes some research to get the right mix. Even if these are knock offs, they would not perform the same as they have different mufflers, resonators, etc. than the more expensive ones from name brand mfgs. |

Thats what i was thinking but one of them comes with a one year warrenty plus it doesnt really have a brand name on it either not saying that a brand name will make a diffrence but it would be nice to know who makes them. lol

The exhausts actually look pretty nice, and $520 shipped doesn't sound too good to be true, that's still a lot of money for some pipes. I would go for it personally if my car didn't already have the Dinan exhaust! Those tips look nicer than cheap lookin dinan tips where you can see the smaller pipe inside.
It has all the design elements of all the other exhausts including resonators which are supposed to kill the *rasp. Its probably loud though, good thing for some people. edit: youre right i meant rasp, even my Dinan exhaust has slight drone Last edited by wtfmateim65; 03-27-2011 at 05:22 PM.. |

I have BMW Performance exhaust on the wife's 128i Cabrio and it's got a nice throaty sound but very little, if any, drone. With my BMW Club discount, it was $675 including tax, title, and license, and it's muffler only. Any decent (B&B/Billy Boat, Borla, Dinan, BMW Performance, Corsa, and several other brand names) exhaust for a 335 is going to cost well over $1000 and closer to $2000 list price without shipping. Material and weld quality are big issues, and if the mufflers aren't tuned right, the drone will loosen your fillings and drive you crazy on a road trip. You generally don't get what you don't pay for.

I heard there were rust problems with these indicating not stainless - which would be my biggest fear with these. Inferior metal. Anybody can type 304....

Yes, there have been issues with rust on these. Most people aren't too fond of the sound, but there are a lot of people who love it.
I would love to hear it in person.

I'm satisfied with mine. For the money, can't complain. Worth it for the weight savings alone. Loud? Yes. A little bit of rasp after putting catless DPs on. The quality of the pipes and welding is great. The hardware is weak though.
