I used to drive my E90 all the time in NYC. Was a bit of a bitch trying to get it into underground parking garages because of its lowered stance, I used to just park in midtown on the ground floor/upper level parking garages because its easier on my car and the valets.
Then again I did battle it out with the taxi cabs..you just have to know how much to push them before they push back and hit you. Takes some experience to duke it out with some of the best stoplight drivers in the world! lmao.... |

No, it's not that bad. I drive crosstown on a lowered car every single weekend and I don't find it that bad. Traffic is not that bad either. Or maybe I'm just used to it LOL.

Yeah, that does sound attractive - but getting into LIC in the morning would probably not be too easy. I know the other options like Staten Island or Jersey park & rides are further out, but I'd rather spend the time on a train or ferry that sitting in stopped city traffic... also since I have never driven into NYC, getting lost and missing turns, etc. is a fear. I'm just a country mouse.
