Side markers yellowing

My sidemarkers are starting to look like crap. Have a slight yellowing to them, and I want them crystal clear again!

What should I use on them? Plastic polish? Deoxidizer? Rather not have to sand them, but may be the best option?

I thought about getting ths smoked DEPO ones, but I hear aftermarket fitment is not so great, as they dont have the rubber gasket around them to keep them tight.

I like the clear look, but the smoked look is OK as long as it's not too dark.... still prefer to try to "clean mine up"

Mine fit great and they are just smoked, not super dark.

I used a little m205 polish by hand and it worked. I would assume that a bit of headlight/plastic polish would work too.

PlastX from Meguiar's will bring them back to clear. The only problem is that they'll eventually turn yellow again.

Yeah i did this when I polished my car and they came out great, looking new again, but then after a year or so the yellowish came back a little. One side more than the other..I guess this is temp solution but is worth it I think...

hmm.. def am going to try out the plasix...

We need to find a cheap UV protection... that is what is causing them to re-yellow..

Anyone know of anything to "coat" clear lights with to help block out UV rays?

Second that on PlastX. I had the same problem. Took a rag and applied some on the side marker lenses, put some pressure into them, and wipe the stuff off. As good as new.

Personally, I just wax mine whenever I detail my car. Never yellowed on me since 08.

+1 ^ headlights, taillights , side markers all need love, sealant or wax to protect them, when i usually wax my car, i always throw sealant on the headlights/taillight/side markers, just because sealant last longer then wax, and on those parts i don't care much in wax vs sealant shine/depth.
