Hello,

I have been looking into doing the F30 Brembo Brake Upgrade and I just had a few questions about the swap. First of all, the Blue M-Sport Calipers are paired with 370mm rotors but the M-Sport kit has the exact same swept area as the standard 335 Grey Brembos (They are the same caliper and use the same pad)

The rotor also doesn't get its extra size in the rotor ring itself but in the hat area instead so my question is will the 370mm really offer more heat dissipation if any over the 340mm Brembo kit that come standard in the F30 335's

Also, the rotors are smaller than what come standard on E9x 335 but the calipers are better, would the Grey Brembos with 340mm rotors be considered an upgrade or downgrade for us?

I've linked an article Bump Turner Motorsport that has more info about both brake kits: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/t-b...ke-differences

they uses the same pads, sure, but the larger rotor will still offer larger sweep area in the rotor ring.

simple geometry.

if you still don't get it. just spend the minute and calculate the area of each rotors using pie*r^2...

There are blue 340mm and 370mm calipers. They are not exactly the same.

Not to hijack your thread, but your PMs are full and so I can’t respond to your PM that you sent me regarding my stock exhaust. It’s still available and I’m right over the Massachusetts/Rhode Island border so if you’re interested, I should be around tomorrow and just about all weekend.

The Calipers for the 340mm and 370mm are fundamentally the exact same, the only differences being a fancy paint job and a larger bracket to accommodate the larger rotor. I have confirmed this with both Turner Motorsport and Bimmerworld

Even 340mm come in "fancy" paint and there isn't any brackets on these.

Yes 340mm comes in blue as well. Make sure you get the right calipers for the right rotors
