Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it to the dyno day as my car going in for repairs Friday 18th.

The bodyshop called me yesterday and I was hoping to get it in next week ready for the 19th but this is the earliest date the bodyshop can do.

Whilst sat stationary in a car park a young lady (only been driving 6 months) decided to try drive though a gap that wasn't there and caught my rear bumper

Apologies to all involved and I hope you have a great day.

Sorry Guys, been neglecting this event but I can update on where we are at the moment.
Currently on 14 runners, which assumes that G33 does drag his arse down to Surrey, and none included in the list (below) drop out.

Raj from EvoT is also bringing along his ex (now sold) E60 M5 + his latest purchase, a SL55 AMG. (Charlie has managed to get hold of instructions on how to get the 55 beast into Dyno mode, so hopefully we can see a good run)
Please note he will not be driving both cars down to SRR!

Kick off is at 10.00 am and I have already noted that Tony (Evil Diesel) wants an early run, so he has pole position.
If any one else wants to be in the first 4 that run, please shout.

List: (in no particular order)

Serjames - 335i
G33 - 335i
Marlie - 335i
E92Fan - 335i
Yahoo - 335i
Scottc - 330i
EvilDiesel - 335D
DXB335D - 335D
Siburt - 335D
R4R -335D
Hotcoupe - 335D
jjbirch - 320D
Fullhouse (Raj) - E60 M5
Fullhouse (Raj) - SL55 AMG

Beauforty (spectator)

I have promised Charlie an update on numbers towards the back end of next week, so if anyone can not make it please let me know, and if anyone wants to join in please also let me know or add your name to the list.

Commiserations to Timster on his wrist, a very limp reason to pull out, bet the other one works , and to Black Sapphire, I can't see how a graze can affect a roller run, but hey shit happens.

Venezuela (or certainly Caracas) is a total and utter shithole. It is the poorest, most rundown and scariest place I've ever been. Everything and everyone are corrupt. Keep your head down, do the minimum you need to do and get out. Seriously, I was so relieved to get back on a plane home...

It really isn't that bad, been there a lot of times and have good local knowledge to help. It's certainly not in my list of scary places and i've been to over 70 countries so far. Sure you would not go out on your own at night but then that applies to most cities around the world these days. If you want real scary look no further than Johannesburg or Sao Paulo at night!!!

Anyway 5 of the 9 days will be in Margarita staying at the Hilton so that is quite safe. In Caracas it'self there is a lot of redeveloped areas to visit at night where the more well off go and is quite safe with a local friend/guide.

Want the good news or the bad news?

Good news is that I can come down and see you guys as the plaster is off my broken wrist and I tried driving over the weekend and it's not too painful.

Bad news is that I have promised to lend the E91 to a buddy for the weekend so I will be running an SLK for the weekend. Que up all the hairdresser jokes, I'm ready for 'em ;o)
