BMW Chime
Hi,
I looking to purchase a 06' 3 series. When I was searching on YouTube about the car, I heard that some come with the traditional BMW chime, while others come with a high pitched ding when you turn on the car. I was wondering if there was any way I could switch out the high pitched ding with the traditional BMW chime. What I was hoping to change it to: Original Chime in my Car: (sound at 1:47) Thanks! Someone else can correct me if Im wrong but I believe the reason the sounds are different is on the newer models the chime plays through the radio were as on the older ones such as yours there is a physical speaker for the chime. So you would need to replace your headunit to get the new chime sound.
